Companion Care

Support rooted in dignity, presence, and connection

Our companion care services are designed to support adults and seniors in living their daily lives with comfort, autonomy, and meaningful connection. We focus on building trusting relationships and offering practical help without rushing or taking over.

Companionship & Connection

A familiar, caring presence

Companionship may include conversation, shared hobbies, walks, games, reading, creative activities, or simply spending quiet time together. We recognize that connection looks different for everyone and follow each person’s preferences and pace.

Daily Living Support

Extra hands for everyday tasks

Support may include:

  • Light housekeeping

  • Meal preparation

  • Medication reminders

  • Errands and appointments

  • Organization and routine support

Tasks are approached collaboratively, with respect for independence and choice.

Outings & Community Engagement

Staying connected beyond the home

We can accompany individuals on outings such as walks, shopping trips, appointments, or social activities, supporting confidence and engagement in the community.

Basic Personal Care

Respectful, comfort-focused assistance

When needed, we can assist with basic personal care tasks, always within our training and comfort levels. Care is provided gently and with close attention to dignity and consent.

Dementia & Higher-Needs Support

Patient, informed, and person-centred

We offer supportive care for individuals living with dementia or higher support needs, focusing on routine, familiarity, and calm presence. Services are provided thoughtfully and adjusted as needs evolve.

Flexible & Personalized

No two people are the same. Companion care plans are fully customizable and can change over time to reflect evolving needs, preferences, and goals.

Companion Care FAQs

Will I always have the same caregiver?

We prioritize consistency whenever possible. Building familiarity and trust is an important part of companion care, so we aim to keep visits with the same person on a regular schedule.

What if it doesn’t feel like a good fit?

That’s completely okay. Comfort matters. We can adjust approach, routines, or caregiver without pressure or awkwardness.

Can I start slowly?

Yes. Many people begin with a short weekly visit and increase only if it feels helpful. Care can grow gradually over time.

Do I have to commit to a long contract?

No. We do not require long-term contracts. We simply ask for reasonable notice if you decide to pause or stop services.

Will you take over tasks I can still do myself?

No. We support independence. Help is collaborative and based on your preference. If you like doing something yourself, we respect that.

Can family members be involved?

Absolutely. We are happy to communicate with family members if you would like them included, and we always follow your preferences first.

What happens if my needs change?

Care can adjust. Some clients need more support over time, others need less. We review together and adapt without needing to start over.

Are outings allowed?

Yes. Walks, appointments, errands, and community activities are all part of companion care if you want them to be.

How do I get started?

We begin with a conversation. This is simply a chance to meet, ask questions, and see if it feels comfortable.
